We are united in our goals, objectives and the pursuit of soccer leadership in our community.
We achieve our goal with the understanding that the team is greater than the individual, the club is greater than the team and the community is greater than the club.

The Markham Soccer Club believes that every individual has the right to participate in soccer in a safe and enjoyable environments. It was established the following policies and procedure's in accordance with Canada Soccer Guide to Safety which the MSC officially endorses.
Markham history
1971-72
The Club, initially named Markham Minor Soccer Club in 1971/72, was founded by Gavin Berry. In 1991, it merged with Markham (senior) Soccer Club, becoming the present-day Club.
1994 - 1995
The Soccer School for U5 and a micro-soccer program for U6 and U7 began. The men's team joined the Ontario Soccer League in 1995, reaching the Ontario Cup quarter-finals that season.
2013 - 2015
The Board of Directors aimed to secure an OPDL license for both boys and girls programs. The OSA granted the license for 2014 & 2015, allowing the club to enter U13 teams in the league's first year. The Club has maintained its license every year since.
1976/77
The Club focused on House League until the 1976/77 season when Len Notaro introduced Representative Teams. Under Brian Crawford's presidency in 1978/79, indoor soccer programming was added.
1998
By 1998, MSC had developed to the point of hiring technical staff and, in the same year, began the Thumbs Up program for special needs players.
2017
Tthe Board partnered with Wexford Soccer Club to join League 1 Ontario. In the 2018 outdoor season, the newly formed "Alliance United Futbol Inc," led by head coach Ilya Orlov, had its men's squad finish 7th out of 17 teams in its inaugural season
1988
In January, the Mount Joy Community Centre opened as the Club's office and indoor facility. In 1991, the Advanced Skills Clinic was introduced to enhance player development.
2001
MSC received the Centre Circle Award from OSA. The Club achieved "Club Excellence - Silver" in April 2012, followed by "Club Excellence - Gold" the next spring.
2019
A League 1 women's squad, coached by MSC alum Laura Gosse, was introduced. Both the men's and women's teams made the playoffs. The men's squad, leading the League 1 table for most of the season, finished third, just two points behind the front-running Oakville.
