Academy Programs

­Welcome to the MSC Academy Programs for players u6 to u14!

These programs are either a one extra day a week program or a two day program (game day and practice day) designed to prepare players for competitive play while fostering a deep passion for soccer.

Through specialized training focused on skill enhancement, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning, we aim to equip players with the tools they need to succeed at the rep level.

Our dedicated coaches emphasize teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, creating a supportive environment that encourages growth and development.

Whether your child is looking to refine their skills or make the transition to competitive­­ soccer, this program is the perfect stepping stone on their journey to success!

U8-U13 Academy League

The Markham Soccer Club’s U8-U13 Academy League is designed for young players who want to take their soccer skills to the next level. Combining weekly practices with game-play, this program provides the perfect balance of training and fun, helping players grow their skills, confidence, and love for the game.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

Skill-Building Sessions
Players participate in one practice per week focused on developing core soccer skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and game awareness.

Weekly Game-Play
In addition to practices, players enjoy one game per week to apply their skills in a friendly, game-like environment.

Player-Centered Approach
Our experienced coaches focus on individual and team development, ensuring every player progresses at their own pace.

Teamwork & Growth
The program encourages collaboration, sportsmanship, and positive interactions—on and off the field.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • Who: Boys and girls U8-U12 (Born: 2018 to 2012)
  • When: Week of May 18 to Week of August 17 |  One game and One practice per week culminating in a tournament on the weekend of August 22/23
  • Session Length: Practice: 60 minutes / Games: 60 minutes
  • Division/Day:
    U8 Boys – Tuesday/Thursday
    U8 Girls – Tuesday/Thursday
    U10 Boys – Monday/Wednesday
    U10 Girls – Tuesday/Thursday
    U12 Boys – Monday/Wednesday
    U12 Girls – Tuesday/Thursday
  • Where: Markham Soccer Club fields (locations provided upon registration)
  • Items Included: uniform - jersey, shorts, and socks, soccer ball
  • What to Bring: Soccer cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle

U6-U7 First Kicks:

Individual skills development for players born in 2020 & 2019. This is a 12-week, training sessions only, program.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

Skill-Building Sessions
Players participate in one training session per week, focused on developing core soccer skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and game awareness.

Player-Centered Approach
Our experienced coaches focus on individual and team development, ensuring every player progresses at their own pace.

Teamwork & Growth
The program encourages collaboration, sportsmanship, and positive interactions—on and off the field.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • Who: Boys and Girls U8-U10 (Born: 2018 to 2016)
  • When: Week of May 24 to Week of August 16 |  One training session per week
  • Session Length: Practice: 1 hour, 30 minutes
  • Day: Sunday from 11:00am to 12:15pm
    Where: Mount Joy Mini Fields
  • Items Included: Academy jersey is provided
  • What to Bring: Soccer cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle

*There will be NO training sessions on August 2, 2026

U8-U10 Learn To Train:

Individual skills development for players born in 2018 to 2016. This is a 12-week, training sessions only, program.

Individual skills development for players born in 2015 to 2012. This is a 12-week, training sessions only, program.
