COACHING PATHWAYS AT MSC
Grassroots Competitive (U8–U12)
Our Grassroots Competitive Program is dedicated to developing technical skills and nurturing a love for the game in young athletes. Coaches in this program play a vital role in laying the foundation for players’ soccer development, ensuring they learn and grow in a positive, engaging environment. As a coach, you will be instrumental in designing dynamic training sessions that prioritize fun, skill growth, and teamwork.
U13+ Competitive Program
As players enter their teen years, the competitive environment shifts to emphasize tactical awareness, advanced technical skills, and mental resilience. Our U13+ Competitive Program is designed for coaches who are passionate about guiding young athletes through this critical stage of development, preparing them for success at higher levels of competition.
High Performance Program
The High Performance Program offers a distinguished platform for elite athletes to advance and perform at the provincial, national, and international levels, facilitated through our OPDL and League1 Ontario teams. Coaches within this program collaborate with some of the region's most promising talent, fostering their development by emphasizing a rigorous balance between technical precision and tactical execution.

After the above mandatory courses are completed all competitive coaches must meet Ontario Soccer’s certification requirements for the age groups they want to coach. To learn more about the necessary courses for coaching at different age levels, visit Ontario Soccer Coach Courses.
