ABOUT OUR REP PROGRAM (U13-U18)
The Markham SC Rep Program is designed for players with exceptional soccer skills who can represent the Club in various competitive leagues. These leagues consist of Club teams from different districts and therefore more traveling is required than in the house league program. The Markham Soccer Club offers Rep teams from U13 to U18 that compete at both the Regional (Imodel) and District level (YRSL)
Commitment
Competitive teams generally practice 2-3 times a week plus a game. The amount of travel depends on the age division and level the team plays at. Competitive teams operate year-round programming with training and/or league play during the winter as well. Most competitive teams also plan to attend various tournaments throughout the season which may require outside of the province traveling.
Leagues
The U13 to U18 Markham SC Rep Teams compete in the Regional Level of play (Imodel) as well as the District level of play (YRSL)
We welcome all players to the Markham SC Rep program, regardless of previous experience with Markham Soccer Club.
Players wishing to join our rep program are assessed by the team or group head coaches and our technical leaders during regular training sessions or at open assessment dates for specific age groups. For more information about our competitive programs and how your child can participate in the assessment process, please contact our Competitive Administrator, Anna Tripodo, at anna@markhamsoccer.org

PROGRAM INFORMATION
U13+ BOYS & GIRLS (BORN IN 2012 TO 2005)
At age 13, players will be segmented into the elite development stream (OPDL & League 1) or the Soccer 4 Life (Regional/District leagues) competitive stream based on a series of factors.
The training curriculum is developed by our paid Technical Leadership staff under the guidelines of the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) and Ontario Soccer's Long Term Player Development (LTPD) philosophy.
The Markham SC Rep Program operates for two sessions - Winter Academy (mid-October to early March) and the Summer Program (mid-March to September).
Teams in the Soccer 4 Life stream at U13 and older will train once per week and play once per week in summer and will participate in league play or exhibition games over the winter.
All group head coach coaches are paid by the club and are expected to continue their professional development by attending ongoing training to achieve age-appropriate certification as coaches.
All team officials must meet club and provincial-body standards, including Vulnerable Sector Screening (every 3 years).
